And then there's the fact that the Mezari are implied in Dungeon of the Endless to have their own homeworld, which means that they have to be a colony themselves because the first Endless Space explicitly starts in 3000 AD (although the sequel bumps it up to 3500 if I remember correctly), which means it's most likely within our future. So the Success only lives up to its name in the sense that there were survivors, then they presumably become the Mezari seen in Endless Legend, but Vaulters have spent 'generations' underground, so do they first land and then go underground before resurfacing or are the Vaulters and Mezari actually separate Mezari settlements? Because they can't be different halves of the Success because Mezari landed within the past five years, tops. Having corporations literally run local governments is not a fascist move in the slightest and the Mezari already had space travel, the UE was just a Mezari colony that broke apart, reunited and then rediscovered it a couple centuries-Wait, what even is the official timeline?
